Every track here was published as CC0 by an established open archive, and we re-check that licence before storing a file. Mistakes still happen: someone uploads music they don't own, or marks it CC0 by accident. If you hold the rights to a recording you found here, this page explains how to have it removed.

Also tell the source

Each track page links to the archive the recording came from. Our notice form is the way to get it removed here, but correcting or removing the upload at the source as well stops other sites from picking it up. We don't monitor the sources for later changes, so telling us is always needed.

Sending us a notice

Use the Report a licence problem link on the track page. The form asks for everything a valid notice needs under the US DMCA (17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3)) and the EU Digital Services Act (art. 16):

• Your name, email address and, ideally, a postal address and phone number.
• Whether you are the rights holder or act on their behalf, and for whom.
• The work you say is infringed: title, owner, and something that shows the rights, such as a link to the official release, a label or distributor page, or a registration number.
• The track URLs on this site (up to 10 per notice).
• Why the CC0 dedication at the source is not valid.
• A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised, that the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorised to act. Your typed full name counts as your signature.

After submitting you'll receive an email with a confirmation link. Nothing happens until you click it. That step keeps automated or spoofed notices out.

What happens next

• You get an acknowledgement with a reference number the moment the notice is confirmed.
• A complete notice from a sender in good standing hides the tracks immediately, pending review. To stop mass abuse there is a daily cap on automatic hiding, after which notices wait for a person.
• A person reviews every notice, normally within two business days. If it holds up, the files are deleted and the tracks are permanently excluded from the catalog. If it doesn't, the tracks come back.
• You are told the outcome by email either way.

If your own track was removed

Artists whose recording was taken down after a notice can write to us with evidence that the CC0 dedication is valid, for example the original publication under your own account. We'll reconsider and restore the track if the evidence holds.

Misuse

Knowingly false notices carry liability under the DMCA (§512(f)) and may be treated as manifestly unfounded under the DSA. Senders whose notices are repeatedly dismissed lose automatic processing, and we may stop handling their notices altogether.
